HEROES: Naoyoshi Sato and lethal radiation levels

     We have posted two prayer requests for Naoyoshi Sato, the Christian man who has been overseeing the laying and installing of 5,000 feet of internal power cabling within the Fukushima Dai-ichi (Daiichi means "Number 1") nuclear reactor structures to the water pumps in order to get the upper hand on the cooling systems.
     An article on yahoo.com this morning, Comment re: Japanese government changing lethal radiation level numbers, refers to Sato's group, though not by name. It reports an outrageous but tragically typical government response to crisis: "Six workers trying to bring the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant back under control were exposed to more than 100 millisieverts of radiation — Japan's normal limit for those involved in emergency operations, according to Tokyo Electric Power Co., which operates the complex. The government raised that limit to 250 millisieverts on Tuesday as the crisis escalated."
     Typical government response to an economic crisis: If your money isn't worth anything, print more. In a nuclear crisis, if your workers are being exposed to levels of radiation that are lethal, just raise those levels. I'm sure changing the numbers will ensure the health and safety of the six men who have received previously-lethal doses. No, I'm afraid that Mr. Sato for whom we have been praying and his courageous crew are dead men walking. They have made the supreme sacrifice not only for their own country but for the entire world.
