"You have to work hard to offend Christians. By nature, Christians are the most forgiving, understanding, and thoughtful group of people I've ever dealt with. They never assume the worst. They appreciate the importance of having different perspectives. They're slow to anger, quick to forgive, and almost never make rash judgments or act in anything less than a spirit of total love . . . No, wait--I'm thinking of Labrador retrievers!" Hail to Long Beach

Last night, in a freak thunder-and-lightning storm, we heard the thundering of hooves overhead. No, not reindeer, not just rain, but hail.
I know these pictures seem pathetic to those of you who have real winters but in Jerry's 64 years, including in utero, it has only been cold enough to snow twice in Long Beach. So you know ice cubes falling from the sky here is news!
As soon as we got out the camera, it turned to rain and started washing away.

Garage roof and back yard (through screen), and Santa-capped neighbor to south!
