"You have to work hard to offend Christians. By nature, Christians are the most forgiving, understanding, and thoughtful group of people I've ever dealt with. They never assume the worst. They appreciate the importance of having different perspectives. They're slow to anger, quick to forgive, and almost never make rash judgments or act in anything less than a spirit of total love . . . No, wait--I'm thinking of Labrador retrievers!" Grace under Siege 52: We are not alone

Was anything going on at the church offices Thursday night between 7:30 and 8:00? Was there an elders' meeting there that night? Does anyone know?
A former member of our church was at choir practice [at a different church]--"Our choir director has the gift of selecting the most beautiful texts which often bring tears just sight reading.  We can often worship during rehearsals." She writes, "That's what I was doing when I felt that there was something going on [at Grace.] I sensed a large warrior angel standing in front of the breezeway between the two church office buildings on 36th, looking across the street toward the sanctuary with a very serious expression.  I didn't see a sword; its arms were at its sides,  but I remember a distinctly serious, not very happy, look on its face. Also, it was quite tall, higher than the offices."
Over the year several intercessors have seen (in the Spirit) a large serpent standing in front of the main sanctuary, mocking and spitting on everyone coming to church. A week or so ago, one woman saw "a large warrior angel coming to do battle with the serpent. "

Thank you, Lord, that we human beings are not fighting this battle alone!  Thank you for Your angels and for giving us the discernment and encouragement to know they are fighting with us. Thank you that 2/3rds of the angels are on Your side and that they are actively fighting for Your church in the heavenlies.  Thank You for Your warrior and messenger angels and the ones who minister comfort and sustenance to the saints in this battle.*
Thank you for Your strength in our weakness because the enemy is wearing down those of us who are merely flesh and blood** and he shows no mercy.***  Thank You for Your spiritual weapons, both defensive and offensive.  Show us how to use them effectively.
Give everyone at Grace wisdom for this battle, Almighty God.  Keep us from fighting each other.  Bring unity in truth and let each of us know with certainty which side is Your side!

*"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to care for those who will inherit salvation?" Hebrews 1:14 **"He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One." Daniel 7:25  ***"So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." Hebrews 4:16
