What this means in a practical sense is that the leadership's attempts to derail the church, the sweeping dismissal of legitimate members without regard to the bylaws, for instance, are increasing--becoming more ruthless, more desperate and more overt--but the likelihood of the takeover being successful is diminishing.
The Fist is tightening--but in the end those controlling it will find it closing on nothing.
