"You have to work hard to offend Christians. By nature, Christians are the most forgiving, understanding, and thoughtful group of people I've ever dealt with. They never assume the worst. They appreciate the importance of having different perspectives. They're slow to anger, quick to forgive, and almost never make rash judgments or act in anything less than a spirit of total love . . . No, wait--I'm thinking of Labrador retrievers!" I'm a big Shirley Temple fan, but I'd never heard this. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI guess someone unearthed the recording. Who knew? Yay for YouTube! And she pronounces the Japanese words well--just like I heard them in Japan as a child. They are part of the nostalgia* of my childhood. I could almost sing along with her. *Natsukashii, as the Japanese say.
ReplyDeleteMe too, and I did sing along! LOL YouTube is sooooo awesome! I've found tons of songs from my childhood here in Japan on YT, songs I hadn't heard in 30+ years, lots of pop songs that were popular back then by people like Saijo Hideki, the Pink Ladies and Southern All Stars.
