"You have to work hard to offend Christians. By nature, Christians are the most forgiving, understanding, and thoughtful group of people I've ever dealt with. They never assume the worst. They appreciate the importance of having different perspectives. They're slow to anger, quick to forgive, and almost never make rash judgments or act in anything less than a spirit of total love . . . No, wait--I'm thinking of Labrador retrievers!" HEROES: Update on nuclear plant overseer Naoyoshi Sato

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your urgent prayer response yesterday!  The Lord's provision is already being seen.
Here is a news article that just came up this morning describing the initial stages of the Lord's provision (click on it to open up the article):

Japan Lays Power Cable

The gist of the news is that the power cable has been successfully laid (praise the Lord!), and now about 5,000 ft. of internal power cabling within the nuclear reactor structures need to be installed to the water pumps themselves in order to get the upper hand on the cooling systems.  Please continue to pray for this remaining need, and certainly for the workers who are risking their life and health to help others.

I think it is interesting that our brother in Christ who oversaw the operation, Naoyoshi Sato, is not named in the article, but only described as "exhausted engineers."  So many to whom we owe our extreme gratitude are in like manner, unnamed.  Those of us non-Jews who have the gift of eternal life have received that gift due to the efforts of "some men from Cyprus and Cyrene (Libya)" who first brought the gospel to the Gentile world.  Our extreme gratitude goes out to all those "exhausted engineers" and all the other unnamed workers who risk their life and health for the sake of others.  May the Lord bless them greatly.

Our extreme gratitude to you also for your faithful prayer; you are accomplishing much.
Our family is in good health and spirits, and our needs are very adequately met in Tokyo.  Please continue to pray for the Lord's leading and wisdom as we seek to be of the best help that we can for the thousands of hurting here in Japan.

Peace and grace,
Ralph, for the Justinianos

  1. Does anyone know if there is a refugee program or who to contact, to be able open up our home to any Japanese kids or families needing help?
    Please let me know.

  2. I hope they had the good sense to get stem cell samples from the men going near the reactor. By taking adult stem cells early they get undamaged cell lines that can be used to treat any I'll effects that arise later. In the event that its not been considered it may not be too late to do so.
I can think of a dozen things that could be tried. Tele-operated Honda Asimo robots sent into the site to lay hoses into the hot zone. Improvised aqueducts. Floating water bladders to contain the radioactive water.
